a mayor in Porterville California made a controversial statement in a closed meeting last week when the topic of creating anti bullying campaigns was brought up. the mayor went on to explain the he is getting tired of hearing about people saying that the are bullied and nothing being done to combat it. the comment sparked a bit of debate but the mayor was quick to saying he wasn't referring to children but mainly those who are bullied in general. the back lash from the comment was pretty minor and the mayor apologized stating he did not mean to hurt any feelings. maybe he was a bully to.

3d Printers and gun manufacturing
Gun laws are a major controversy in America especially after events like sand hook , the navy yard shooting and columbine. while guns have many Americans wondering what can be done gun makers and gun smiths make a lot of money off the fire arm and defense industry. but lately gun manufactures are rising concerns over the value of 3d printing of firearms a technology which is currently being tested out and successfully tried. the method means a big head ache for ATF who may be soon cracking down on the manufacture of 3d printed firearms. currently AR-15 lower receivers have been made using CAD design and 3d printers. this could potentially make the manufacturer of fire arms at home a realistic and affordable solution to spending money on buying a expensive premade fire arm. while the guns may be subject to currant ATF laws it will certainly be harder to stop and or control home printed lower receivers and weapons.

arizona passes controversial law
a new law passed for Arizona would allow some business owners to ban gay and lesbians from entering there business if the store owners religious beliefs are against same sex couples the new law has gained some controversy due to the fact that it would discriminate against a large number of people and possibly be a target for civil rights discussion and open up the state and business to legal trouble. the law has already been scorned by many civil rights and civil liberty groups who call the bill unjust and discriminating. if the constitution is supposed to give Americans protection from discrimination and injustice its something that they are passing laws that take away peoples rights.

Pot leagalized in colorado
A new law passed in Colorado has allowed for the sale and use of marijuana distributed by licensed dispensaries hundreds of people formed long lines outside of the dispensaries waiting for there chance to legally purchase Cannabis products. most people are in favor of the legalization but of course there are also some that are opposed several people waiting in line reported people driving by shouting comments about the people standing in line being drug addicts or similar remarks. most people agree that the use of marijuana is no worse than people who regularly drink Alcohol. in my opinion marijuana is far less dangerous than heavy drinking or doing other drugs or medications. marijuana can also be noted for having various medical uses and purposes as well such as treating PTSD anxiety and various other medical conditions. also I think that if marijuana was legalized across the board in America one could tax the sale and raise a large economy based of the marijuana trade and sale furthermore I believe that violence would go down do to the effects of the drug having a calming and non violent effect on the user. more so it is more often heard of people crashing cars hurting them self's or something of the similar using alcohol than marijuana. I guess also if I had to choose id rather have to deal with some one who uses marijuana than some other lethal drug or alcohol. meth crack and all of the serious drugs have really serious side effects marijuana has some but mainly it just makes you hungry and want to hug people not all that bad compared to the side effects of most new illicit street drugs. I guess if it came down to it im all for the reasonable and responsible use of marijuana
